This was a Christmas girl for my Brother's girlfriend. I am a bit insane when it comes to Christmas, this time of year is busy for anyone but for me it is pure insanity so you would think I would make things simple on myself, ha ha no this is me. This year was more insane then normal for me, not only did we have Christmas, Inventory at work but I was also changing positions at work and was working both my old and new position, one of the joys of staying with the same company but changing roles.
But none the less as Christmas approached and I started looking at my list of people I needed to buy for and started wondering who could I make something for. I had taken up crochet this year and if I do say so myself I am pretty good. So it was time to decide what I would make, and what I would need for supplies
The one person I had no idea what to get was my brother's girlfriend, I know her, I have hung out with but only with family around so I did not know, know her. I was prepared for this to be a huge challenge as normally my brothers are not the best with giving & sharing information. But to my shock when I asked my brother right away he said her favourite colour was purple and she loved elephants, I think he said more but once I heard those 2 pieces of information I knew I was going to make her a purple elephant, well actually I first I had to let the shock that he answered wear off and then I knew I had a plan.
Finding a pattern for this was a little bit tricky, I wanted a cute elephant but didn't want anything too childish since she is a grown woman. Add in the fact that I over think everything and it took me over a week to settle on a pattern but I must admit I am so happy with the pattern I used. I did make a few modifications to make my elephant more girly, she was just screaming for accessories, here is the pattern I used.
After some hard work and telling myself enough was enough, what can I say I wanted to keep adding more she was so cute.
