Hi, I am Ashley and have recently fallen in love with crocheting, it has shocked most people including myself to be honest. Years ago I tried knitting and everyone told me how relaxing it was but I actually found it stressful and frustrating so pretty much anything but relaxing. Fast forward 5+ years and it was suggested I need to find a "Me Thing", something for me to do outside of work and day to day work around my house and for some reason I got the idea to try knitting again. I will admit this time was better but well looking for knitting patterns it seemed like everything I wanted to make I could find a crochet pattern but not a knitted pattern. So me being me I thought I can tech myself to crochet, that is what You Tube is for right? Well once I got started I was hooked and I finally realized what people were telling me years ago about knitting being relaxing. I know make sure that I get at least an hour a day to crochet.
As for why my creations are Sassy well that is my nick name I earned years ago from a family member. They were trying to teach my second youngest cousin to call me Cousin Ashley but it came out Cuzzy Sassy. We dropped the Cuzzy part but the Sassy part stuck. Even years later family members would call my Sassy in the office which was fun to explain to co workers, but I am sure those who knew me well got why it stuck.
I am now turning my passion into something I can share with others. Now I will admit this is a bit of a side business for me as already work 50+ hours a week at my job which I love but this is something for me. Something I want to share with others because let's be honest homemade gifts are becoming a thing of the past. With mass retailers out there as a society we are now focus on how cheaply we can get things vs finding something someone will absolutely love and is personalized just for them. My hope is to share the personalized homemade gift with others.
